Aima Sodonienė,

Aima Sodonienė was born in Lithuania and grew up and studied in Kaunas. Her artistic practice is predominantly focused on abstract painting, exploring the interplay of color, form, line, texture, and materiality.

Her works are conceived as autonomous visual systems that create associative and emotionally engaging fields of perception. Acrylic is her primary medium, though she also incorporates mixed media and experiments with a variety of textures.

Her works deliberately avoid a single, predefined narrative or interpretation. Instead, abstract visual structures act as associative stimuli, activating the viewer’s imagination, autobiographical memory, and emotional experience while encouraging a subjective perception of the artwork. Personal associations, memories, and emotional responses thus become an integral part of the interpretative process.

Aima Sodonienė’s artistic practice is also defined by a professional approach to commissioned art projects. She has created works of various scales for hotels, restaurant chains, public spaces, and private clients.

Her experience working with diverse architectural environments enables her to adapt scale, color, and composition to specific interiors and architectural contexts.

Aima Sodonienė is an independent artist.
